Declan Wavle portrait

Declan is a Computer Engineering graduate from Syracuse University with a passion for building technology that bridges the gap between software, hardware, and human experience. He is driven by the challenge of transforming ideas into tangible, interactive products that are both technically sophisticated and thoughtfully designed.

His interests span embedded systems, computer vision, machine learning, computer graphics, virtual reality, and digital signal processing. Throughout his academic and personal projects, he has explored how these disciplines can come together to create engaging experiences, from FPGA-based audio visualization and computer vision applications to immersive virtual reality environments.

At the core of his work is a curiosity to continually learn and experiment with new technologies. He enjoys tackling unfamiliar challenges, refining ideas through iteration, and building solutions that balance technical performance with creativity and usability.

Outside of engineering, Declan enjoys photography, running, skiing, and traveling. He is inspired by thoughtful product design, immersive experiences, and the ways technology can shape how people interact with the world. Whether developing software, prototyping hardware, or exploring new ideas, his goal is to create work that is both meaningful and memorable.
